Spa Receptionist / Guest Experience Coordinator (Part-Time)

Positions Available: 2 Part-Time Roles
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking two part-time Spa Receptionists / Guest Experience Coordinators to support daily operations and help facilitate an exceptional spa experience. This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a wellness-focused environment.
As the first and last point of contact for our clients, this role plays a vital part in maintaining the calm, professional, and welcoming atmosphere Kelp Forest is known for.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming, relaxing environment
- Manage bookings and scheduling (in-person, phone, and online systems)
- Handle the cash drawer, POS transactions, and payments accurately
- Facilitate the overall spa experience before, during, and after appointments
- Clean and reset treatment rooms and common areas between services
- Perform light daily cleaning duties throughout shifts
- Manage laundry (towels, linens) and restock supplies as needed
- Prepare and make smoothies according to wellness menu standards
- Promote and upsell retail products, services, and wellness offerings in a natural, client-centered way
- Support practitioners and ensure smooth transitions between appointments
- Maintain a calm, professional presence during busy or high-pressure periods
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently
- Team player who contributes positively to a collaborative environment
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Comfortable handling cash and POS systems
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Sales confidence (retail/product upselling experience is an asset)
- Interest in wellness, health, or spa environments is highly valued
- OFA Level 1 or Standard First Aid with CPR (required)
- Food Safe Level 1 certification (required)
TRAINING & CERTIFICATION POLICY
- Required certifications may be paid for by the employer
- Employer-paid certifications require a minimum employment commitment of 4 months
- If employment ends before the 4-month commitment, certification costs will be repaid through payroll deduction, as outlined in the employment agreement

WORK SCHEDULE
- Part-time hours
- Evening and weekend availability required
- Shifts will vary based on spa hours and bookings
